Round 4 Team of the Week

Just the 3 teams playing their T/20's this week and with 3 wins there were some fantastic individual efforts!

Andrew Potts: After talking pre match about noodling around the 1's and 2's the usually cautious and stubborn 3rd XI captain opened his full arsenal to dispatch several bombs into the woods to slap a very brisk 49 off 27 rocks.

Rhys Marget: Took no notice of the above mentioned 3rd XI skipper pre game address either and played his usual game no matter what the format and hit his usual 40 odd off 20 odd.

Lachie Stuckey: The T/20 specialist delivered once again with a supremely in control innings hitting bombs when required and taking quick singles to keep the opposition thinking. Maturing quickly and will be looking for some consistency with the red cherry.

Anthony Jongen: Hard Hitting by name, very hard hitting by nature. The dynamo left hander got off to a very unfamiliar slow start before picking up the pace to score a very handy 36 in the middle to late overs.

Josh Gregory: The little genius loves the short form and is one of our finest exponents at manipulating the field and looking really really busy at the crease. Notched up yet another start and seems to be in good form with the paddle.

Jack Marget: Starting to look comfortable in the 1st XI and loves the verbal barrage thrown his way by the hot head slow/medium bowlers. Helped himself to pushing the ball around the field before blossoming in the later over to set up a good score for the team with 32 not out.

Sean Reid: Still hates the T/20 format although seems to be secretly one of the best exponents of it with the pill. His lack of pace mixed with masterful line and length and a ridiculously impressive knuckle ball make him a weapon now in all forms.

Scott McInerney: The impressive young seamer seems to be hitting his groove lately backing up a wonderful display the previous week with some good change ups while picking up a couple of very important wickets with his 4 overs 2/17. Well done Scott!

Navinder Singh: Opened the bowling and once again proved his worth in this format with his slippery dipping out-swinging deliveries. May have spun the odd one but only by accident. Was a stand out for the 1's and made sure they were on top early with a very miserly 1/12 off 4.

Drew Withers: Another game, another bag of wickets. The spearhead loves a wicket more than most and has a happy knack for picking them up early! 2 in his first over and one in the last to finish the innings saw him claim 3/14 off 4 wonderful overs.

Josh McGowan: Bowled King! We could be hearing this around the traps for many seasons to come as the young gun leggie keeps impressing. Bowled his full bag of tricks in his second game in the 2's to claim 2/24 off his 4 majestic overs. Bowled King!

12th Man
Matt Young: Played a really important role in the 1st XI when the team lost 3 quick wickets. Steadied the ship with the skip to forge a very useful partnership and set up a match winning score. Pounded 27 in a very mature knock.
