2 tons were the highlight from Round 6 in the seniors, a round dominated by the batsmem, whilst a 6 wicket haul was taken in the U/15's by Dishan Malalasekera.

In the First's the match was won on Day 1 against St Johns Tecoma with the wily veteran Travis Mulder taking 4/33 and considerably younger Jarrod Butcher taking 3/12 to dismiss St Johns by the tea break for 146.  The batsmen then took over with Wayne McInerney posting a delicious 116, his 4th 1st XI ton.  Jarrod Butcher made 67, David Prowse 42 and Travis Mulder 54 in the total of 8d/321 from 59.3 overs.  Wayne & Jarrod had a partnership of 163, the best of the season thus far.  With enough time left in the day, the Adam Wild threw St Johns back in for another hit, himself taking 3/15, débutante Niraj De Silva 3/15 and Shannon Small 3/29 destroyed them and achieved the sides 2nd outright victory of the season.  The ones now lead the competition by 14 points.

The Two's batted first and compiled a score of 312 versus South Belgrave at home.  Leading the charge was Ben McLean with 121, Jeremy Mackinnon 53, and Zach Flintoff 42* and Jason Buljubasic 24.  A strong start by South saw the score at 3/150 at tea but a fine spell from Tim Flintoff 2/19 captured key wickets and then Daine Vernon moved in to clean up the tail with 4/16, Simon Taylor took 2/37.

The 3's batted first also against South Belgrave at home, Andrew Potts piled on 89 before being caught, whilst Greg Crook 20 and Blake Lines 24 got the score along to 219, They dismissed south in the first innings for 82, with Crooky taking 4/20 and Blake 3/19, with time for an outright, Webby re-inserted them and pressed hard.  Jackson Ealey captured 3/21 on the way to 5/73, before the game was called.

The 4's went to Park Ridge to play Rowville, Rowville batted first and declared after 67 overs on 9/263.  Little did they know that Matt van Lith was unavailable the following week and was literally going to throw the bat!  He finished with 55* from 17 balls to give the side a good start in their chase.  Unfortunately the start was not capitalised on by the rest of the side except Brad Harrington who hit 54.  Chris Rock was best with the ball taking 4/55 and Jimmy Tanner 2/45 were the pick of the bowlers.

The 5ths had 2 forfeits and a bye in the last 4 rounds, but managed to get 11 out on the ground this week.  The boys went to Menzies Creek to take on Belgrave, but Belgrave piled on 269 with Josh Baron taking 3/37, Josh also made 21 out of a total of 109.

In the Juniors we've had some excellent performance in the year to date. Scott McInerney and Liam Riley have both scored 101* in the U/17's, Scott also has 2x50's and Daniel Carr a 51*.  As mentioned above, Dishan Malalasekera took 6/16 and scored a 53* in the same game!  Zach Flintoff and Niraj De Silva have both scored 2x50's in the U/15 1's.  Tyler Grimston hit a 57* in U/15 2's.

Congratulations to Daine Vernon who edged out Richo in the Dreamteam head to head comp. Daine logged a massive 1149 points vs Richo's 1003. There will be another comp after Christmas, starting Round 8. This time it will be $5 to enter with 60% of the cash going to the winner, 20% to second place and 20% to the club.  Dishan topped the pops this round with his 6 wickets and 53* in the same game!
