The executive committee at Knox Gardens Cricket Club is very excited to announce that Sanath Jayasuriya will play 3 games at the start of next season (2011/12) for our club during his family's stay in Melbourne.  The hard hitting left hander has scored almost 7,000 Test Match runs and 13,000 One Day International runs and will obviously be in a class of him own at the top of the order.  Sanath has also taken 322 wickets in ODI's and almost 100 in Tests, along with his 550 caps for his country. It goes without saying that Sanath will draw a huge attendance to our 1st XI games.  Sanath boasts the record for the fastest 50 in an ODI, 17 balls vs Pakistan.  We would like to thank Sampath Hettiarachchige for his help in gaining Sanath's services.
