Round 7 Team of the Week

Some strong contenders this week after a clean sweep through all grades. A couple of tons and a few bags lead the way!

Deeepak Puri: The man who nobody but the 4's knows opened up with the stick smashing 70 not out which left the fours in a commanding position to get 10 points minimum.

Andrew Potts: After a couple of weeks of sweeping the pitch on wet n soggy days which cost him the win, he was able to win the toss and bat on warm sunny day and compile another 39 in what is becoming a solid year for the teapot.

Gerard Jongen: Another week, another 40. Coming in after the quick loss of Carlton and wickets falling around him Gerome looked good as he has all season making a crisp 42 before Carlton put the mocker on him and he went out the next ball

.

Josh Wylde: After being dropped, Josh responded with 47 at Talaskia Reserve before chopping on (again!). Combined in a good partnership with Pottsy to set up the 3's for a massive score.

Adam Wylde: After making 70 at Monbulk and looking certain to hit a ton, then having a break for 2 weeks to go to schoolies on the Gold Coast Ads continued his great form by making 132 crisp runs and getting the 3s to 330+.

Jarrod Butcher: The skipper produced another 44 on the home deck against Belgrave and formed a good partnership with Niraj to push the 1's to a competitive 210 which ended up being way too much.

Sam Bakker: This guy is dominating in the 4's at the moment, runs, wickets and catches! Hit his second ton in 3 games and pushed the teams advantage even further to grab the outright victory.

Mitch Potts: Gun 3's recruit and brother of captain Andrew delivered 5/58 off 20 overs to skittle St. John’s Tecoma and give the 3's the win, where we can hopefully see more of that in March.

Adam Metherell: Just another lazy 4fa for the leading wicket taker in the 1s taking his tally to 15 for the season (look out Drew!). His 4/43 went a long way to securing a comfortable 1's win.

Trav Mulder: After Travy's catch late in week 1 he should’ve been selected in this side just for that! Instead the following week he got the big key wickets which put the 2's in the box seat and ultimately got the 6 points as he finished with 3/10.

Drew Withers: Fat, as usual this season bowled superbly getting 5 scalps for 46 off 20 overs, taking his tally to 19 @8! Ones call up not to far away.

12th man

Spencer Stuckey: Spence continued his great form over the last 2 games in the 3's after making 52 the week before he crunched 47 with a massive bomb and created a good foil for Adam at the other end to set an imposing total.
