Round 3 Team of the week

Some fantastic individual results in round 3 including another standout performance by Mitch and a first senior 50 to Ben Marget.

Here is this week's team:

Ben Marget: Taking his chance further up the batting line up so far this season and executed brilliantly to top score with his first of hopefully many senior 50's.

Jack Marget: Promoted to number 3 in the 1st XI and built a great innings top scoring with 30. Only half the score of his younger brother but twice as much as his old man!

Jarrod Butcher: Once again finds himself in the team of the week after a solid knock but will be disappointed not to cash in to make it back to back match winning innings for the club. A three figure score hopefully just around the corner for the gun bat.

Dylan Wylde: The flamboyant middle order bat came to the rescue with the 2nd XI in trouble early. Bashed his way to 35 runs not bothering to take a single single on the day.

Mitch Gregory: A superb all round game which included taking the 2nd XI to a match winning score with his 78 runs including a bomb onto the clubrooms then back that effort up with 4/58 from 22 blistering overs.

Sean Reid: A typical reidesque performance came on to bowl when the team needed a breakthrough and delivered with 3/21 to run through the opposition. Batting reasonably also in a low scoring match to get the team across the line.

Scott McInerney: Relished the opportunity to bowl with the red ball in the 1st XI in their first two day match. Bowled a marathon spell which tore apart the middle to lower order to get the side oh so close to a memorable win with 3/46 off 20 overs.

Josh Curnow: Curn batted very patiently down the order to support the in form Mitch before thumping the ball around towards the end of the innings n the 2nd XI for a nice 28 not out. He also bowled 20 straight overs collecting remarkable figures of 2/23 and is still sore now.

Adam Metherell: Seems to like taking wickets so far this season and is infatuated with only taking 3fas. Bowled his full bag of tricks once again taking 3/43 off 20 overs in the 1st XI.

Greg Crook: The crookie monster gobbled up 4 wickets in the 4th XI and looks to be bowling well being selected in his second team of the week so far. The beamers have dried up, for now.

Nixon Adcock: The cricket nerd has come back to playing cricket with a bang! Toyed with the batsmen all day in the 3rd XI to snag a very impressive 4 wickets and might push for a recall to the 2nd XI, ......might

12th man
Bailey Deckert: The young first year player has acquitted himself quite well so far in the 3rd XI. Showed nerves of steel and had the luck of the Irish to get the team over the line in their small run chase with only a single wicket in hand. One to watch in the future.
