In Season 2008-09, we expect to field 6 Senior, 2 Veteran (over 40's) and 9 junior teams (U/11 - U/17) plus continue a large Milo Have a go Junior development program, with all teams playing on synthetic wickets, and the 1st XI competing in the Decoite Shield Grade in the FTGDCA, where we were Premiers in 2004/05. Last Season we had 6 Teams competing in Finals.
Our club is acknowledged as having the best facilities in the Association with a NEWLY resurfaced main ground and NEW wicket, NEW 6 wicket State of the Art practise facility including bowling machine, large modern rooms, 2 grounds side by side, plus our 5ths & 6ths grounds 1km away, and electronic scoreboard on main ground. We are a young club (Founded 1985) & young in playing age with 8 players in 1st & 2nd X1 under 19. We are financially sound with a strong Junior program and supportive local members & sponsors.
We are seeking a Playing 1st X1 Captain & Asst Coach/Batsmen who want to be part of an amazing experience in their Cricket career. The successful applicant(s) would be expected to:
- Prepare players for season, via organized club pre-season training at Club Sponsor venue. (Starting Aug 07)
- Have a strong Leadership presence and embrace club philosophy of nurturing homegrown Juniors and further develop a Winning culture.
- Attend club social events.
The successful 2 applicants will have major responsibility for the Senior teams. Remuneration package(s) are negotiable.
