Round 5 Team of the Round Josh Gregory: Didn’t disappoint in his return to the
1’s, Opening alongside the skipper he laid a great platform for the middle order
with a well made 44.
Ben Mclean: Another week, another 50 for the club
legend, following on from his 73 the week before he drove and pulled his way to
51 to give the 4’s a fast start.
Adam Wylde: Fresh off an excellent 80 in the 2’s, Ads
found himself promoted to number 3 this week in the 1’s and continued his great
form with 37.
Sam Fisher: Getting his first crack in the 2’s for a
while, he found himself out in the middle with the score at 3/17. He made a
very crisp 37 to give the 2’s something to bowl at.
Mitch Gregory: Getting his first chance batting in
the top 6 for the year in a 2 dayer, Mitchy mot scored a run a ball 50 to get
the 1’s to a defendable score.
Jason Buljubasic: Chasing an improbable 309 for
victory, Jase joined Reidy and tried to drag the 3’s back in it plundering a 75
run partnership, with Jase contributing 40 of those in his first game in the 3’s
for the season.
Sean Reid: Needing a captain’s knock to give his side
the points, Reidy promoted himself up the order and didn’t let his team down,
being the highest scorer with 47.
Scott McInerney: Another solid contribution from the
VC with figures of 4/27 from 17 to help the 1s win comfortably.
Daine Vernon: The going was a bit tough early but
finally found his areas finishing with 5/99 off his 21 overs.
Josh McGowan: No surprises here, King has been the
talk of the town with THAT spell, 22 overs, 8/40 speaks for itself!
Direin Weerasooriya: Career best bowling from Direin
this week with beautiful figures of 4/26 off 11 to almost bring home the 6
points for the 4’s.
