Round 2 Team of the week

After 3 wins from 4 matches we saw some great individual performances this week.

The team is:

Brett Morrison: 'Jobsright' turned to 'heartright' after making a trip to the hospital complaining of chest pains but showed nothing can stop him with a cutting 66 against old mates the basin.

Rhys Marget: Another week, another flyer. Although very edgy early on trying to whack some slow left armer into Lysterfield Primary School he found his rhythm crunching a couple of bombs and got the 3s off to another flyer with 44.

Anthony Jongen: Hard hitting Nibby jumped back on the 3rd XI banter bus and with a late pull out from Dyl Milligan, Pottsy decided to promote him up to 3 and it payed off making a very hard hitting 45 including a massive bomb onto lakesfield drive.

Jarrod Butcher: After a disappointing loss the week before the captain certainly stepped up against the basin smashing a captains knock of 87 before having his castle knocked over missing out on what would’ve been a magnificent ton, which also helped the side post a very competitive score of 6/223.

Josh Gregory: Boof did a great job in the middle order setting up the 1's first innings total. Clubbed 33 fine runs and will be looking to go big in this weeks first 2 day match.

Matthew Lambrick: Coming in at 5 after a good start by the top order Lamby came out playing his usual shots before being given leg before for a very elegant 44 which he wasn’t happy about.

Gerard Jongen: Very composed at the crease in what could be a real breakout game for the eldest of the Jongen boys. While others were swinging like a dunny doors Gerard timed the pill nicely for a well earned 50.

Mitch Gregory:The genius slaped an almighty bomb over extra cover into the neighbours window before being triggered by DW. Bowled magnificently well again and has found a role with both bat and ball.

Adam Metherell: Harry Potters long lost twin brother has definitely come back to kgcc with bang, following up his 3fa last week, he backed it up with another 3fa this week, he's certainly weaving some magic.

Drew Withers: Broke all kinds of records taking one of the fastest 5fas in club history. Unfortunately couldn't add to his total in the final 4 overs of his spell but has started the season in fine form.

Greg Crook: Thrown into the captaincy  of the 4th XI this season the monster has done a great job so far. Bowled well claiming some early poles before hitting the winning runs for the team when they were 9 down and in real trouble. Superb captains knock!

12th man
Nikhil De Silva:Returning from tooth fairy central after getting his wisdom teeth out, the school captain of Wantirna college for 2018 performed at his college taking 2/20 off 7 putting his hand up to get a ticket on the 3rd XI banter bus next week.
