Senior Team of the Week (Round 7)

Some outstanding efforts in a really exciting round for the club which produced a number of new faces to the team!

Here is the team for round 7.

Brett Morrison:
After a good comeback game of 99, he returned back to the 2's and opened with his favourite partner in Rhys and they got up to their old tricks with a lightning partnership of 78. Chasing a small target he got the job done with 56 not out.

Andrew Potts:
Coming back from a quick holiday in Singapore, the 3's skipper hit a surprisingly quick 55 not out as the 3's chased the runs convincingly and he is leading them well as they head to the top of the table during the Christmas break.

Gerard Jongen:
Another comeback story in this team of the week, with Gez coming back from schoolies and having not held a bat in 4 weeks, he looked like he had not missed a beat smashing a crisp 91 not out and put on a massive partnership with Pottsy to lead the 3's to victory.

Jason Buljubasic:
Good return to form from Jase. Being dropped to the 4's because of the strong 3's lineup he was finally given an opportunity to bat up the order and hit a beautiful 65.

Dylan Wylde:
The man who never trains and he only lives 10 seconds away from the club just keeps dominating in the 4's with 62, hopefully he can make the long trek to training one week.

Josh Gregory:
Not as many runs as Boof was looking for this week but he certainly did his job with the gloves! Taking 4 catches and involved in 3 crucial run outs including 2 in the final over of the game.

Zach Flintoff:
Zach is in a good patch of form at the moment with the ball, although not making the runs he'd like he is doing a great job taking poles. A good spell of 3/39 helped the 1's get over the line at the closing stages.

Travis Mulder:
The old fox keeps delivering for the 2's as he continues to beat the outside edge of the clueless batsmen, another good day with the ball saw him take 2/13 and will be crucial to the 2's come finals time.

Daine Vernon:
The 2's skipper just keeps on finding a way to take wickets. His 3/26 led the way for a great team bowling performance and kept Ferntree Gully to a low score.

Adam Wild:
Wilba is in hot form at moment as he took another 3/31, with 20 wickets before Christmas he's surely one of the favourites to take home the Rhys Marget Medal and can hopefully steer the 1's to a finals berth.

Tom Wylde:
The Wylde cousins are definitely proving a handful for opposition sides in the 4's as cousin of Dylan, Tom took another bag of 3/25.

12th Man:
Mitch Gregory
Mitch found some kind of form this weekend with 27 in an important partnership with Butch that gave the 1's a really competitive score to defend which ended up being successful. Lets be honest this could be one of the only chances we get to place Mitch in the side!....... (love you Mitchy).
