Shannon Small was the toast of Knox Gardens at the annual Rhys Marget Medal count on Saturday night at Waverley Golf Club.
Going in as one of the favourites Shannon had the
medal sown up by Round 12 and when he claimed 3 votes for his heroics on
Saturday it was a comprehensive victory. The very humble Shan spoke
extremely well of his team mates both past and
present in his acceptance speech that was well received by a great
crowd.
It was Shannons first RI Medal and caps off a
terrific season by the all rounder who was also the club champion from
season 2012/13. (Vote tally below)
The night also welcomed 2 new life members Adam
Wild and Daine Vernon. As was well documented both have done amazing
things for our club and thoroughly deserve the honours they receive.
