The Knox Gardens Cricket Club are delighted to announce the coach of our 2014/15 season is Stephen Alderton.
Stephen, or Murph as he more commonly known as, has spent recent years as the coach of Box Hill Reporter – McIntosh Shield (top division) side Blackburn South Cricket Club and we are extremely excited with what Stephen will be bringing to the club later this year. His resume is extremely impressive as are his coaching philosophies and credentials. He will also be a great addition to our already talented playing stocks.
Speaking with Stephen regularly over recent weeks he is really looking forward to joining our club and was blown away by our first class training facilities.
On behalf of the Knox Gardens cricket club we would like to formally welcome Stephen his partner Caitlin and 2 year old daughter Amelia (your hands will be full next season Tess) to KGCC and we look forward to a successful partnership next season and beyond.
Of course the position of Senior coach was vacated by Jeremy McKinnon late last year which provided the club with the opportunity to focus our energy on finding a suitable replacement.
In saying this Knox Gardens CC would like to formally recognise Jeremy for his hard work, professionalism and dedication he has shown over the last 5 years. He has only ever had the clubs best interests at heart and he is a born and bred KGCC man for life.
Jez has been a fantastic role model for all of our cricketers and on behalf of the KGCC, committee, players and supporters we would like to thank him, his wife Bianca and sons Kaelan and Isaac for the contribution they have made to our club.
We hope that you can continue to be a part of the club moving forward and enjoy the successes that you have help to create.
