Two Ton Timmy

Another ton from Tim Flintoff has not resulted in a win for the 3's, unfortunately they were washed out.  Tims 107 contributed to the teams total of 6/199 in a rain interrupted Day 1, Ryan Lepore chipped in with a handy 27.  Tim says he has met his quota for the season, so it will be interesting to see how the dreamteam players see it.

The 4's tried for a reverse outright after narrowly oing down in the 1st innings, 57 from Greg Crook was the only shining light in the 1st innings score of 86, Rowville were cruising at 2/76 but a flurry of wickets kept the Gardeners in it and they dismissed the opposition for 104.  Rob Cottle took 3/12 and Simon Grasser snared 3/27  and hammered 68 in the 2nd dig to give his team a chance at outright victory, declaring at 3/106, a lead of 88.  Grasser then snapped up 2 early wickets and the boys were up and about, but Rowville steadied the ship and Grasser finished with 3/13 from a score of 3/43.

The 5ths got routed for 88 in Week 1 vs Mountain Gate, passing them 4 wickets down and 12 overs to spare.  Adam Waterhouse 2/19 and Lachlan Pritchard 2/18 were the pick of the bowlers.  In Week 2 vs Eildon Park a late start aided in the draw acheived by the boys.  Eildon Park batted their full 40 overs and left little time to either let the boys chase it or indeed bowl us out.  Lachlan Pritchard again did well with the ball taking 4/33 and he was assisted by Steve Williams 2/33 and Liam Nielsen 2/25.  Yannic Hannibelz made 22 with the bat, and although 5/79  didn't win them the game the boys did well to draw it.

The 2's batted first against Rowville and Sean Reid led the way a skipper should, scoring 65.  Young Dylan Wylde scored freely after tea taking the total to 8/290 from 80 overs, with Rhys Marget 30, and David Hay 39 making valuable contributions along the way.  A delayed start on Day 2 had the rule book junkies out from in front of their tellies and a few early wickets from Daniel Richards had Rowville reeling at 3/18, a partnership followed that tested the determination but a key wicket from Matt van Lith broke the game open and the side wrapped up Rowville for 164.  Rhys Marget had the figures with 3/16, Daniel Richards took 2/31 and Daine Vernon was unlucky only to take 2/50.

Up in them hills the 1's took on Sth Belgrave and opened up on Day 1 with a reasonable start at 1/50 but a collapse of wickets saw the score at 6/71.  However Mitch Greogry 32* and Travis Mulder 23 righted the ship and moved the score to 136.  Josh Greogry and Wayne McInerney both posted 24 of that total.  4 early wickets had the Southerners reeling at 4/13, and a sensational 5/24 from 20 overs from Adam Wild went a long way to dismissing South for 87.  Daniel Adams took 2/12.  The boys will take on last placed Rowville this week in a bid to run for top spot.

The Juniors had a clean sweep of victories this week, a fantastic effort from the guys.

In the 15 1's Niraj 'Nudge' de Silva hit 51*, Zach Flintoff 38, Nick Jankovskis 25 and Rhys Harrison 25 with Lachlan Gray taking 3/18

In the 15 2's Thihan Wijekulasuriya took 4/19 and Justin Woodcock 3/26, then the boys chased down 129 with Riley Inglis 29, Ragulan Vasanth 27, Josh Mancusi 21 and Justin Woodcock doubling up with 24 from the bat.

Jack Marget 28 and Josh Curnow 25 took the U/13s to 5/136, and Josh Curnow then took 3/3, Hayden Morrison 2/6 and Jack Marget 2/11 to win the game by 19 runs.

The DreamTeam is led by Nudge de Silva with a huge 743 points, Tails trails by 9 points.  Everyone one had Tim Flintoff in their team, he made 132 points and didn't even bowl, Niraj with 52*, 2 catches and a wicket is placed 2nd with 104 points.

The results in the Mate vs Mate were as follows:

This weeks draw is:
