After the disappointment of withdrawing from division 7 is was back to the business of winning games of cricket.

The 1st XI got up in a nail-biter against Lysterfield at Lakesfield Reserve.  The Beavers, chasing 122, needed 10 runs from the last 2 overs with 2 wickets in hand, but a catch on the boundary to Jarrod Butcher and Adam Wild ripping out off stump sealed the deal for the Falcons.  Josh Gregory was the only batsman to get past 20 on the slow Lysterfield surface, Mark Dalton the next best with 19.  Travis Mulder was miserly with the ball taking 3/12 from 9, and Matt Young backed up his Round 1 effort with 3/24. The 3rds had South Belgrave in all sorts of trouble at 7/40 but let them get to 125 in their first hitout for the season.  Pat Forrest returned the best figures with 3/17 from 5, whilst Adrian Zandt 2/16, Nathan Montague 2/20 and Dylan Wylde 2/34 all had a piece of the action.   In reply  Hilton Heldsinger 30 and Adrian Zandt 57 let the result in no doubt.  It was great to see some up and coming Knox Gardens players make a difference in this game.
