Knox Gardens Cricket Club is in a deep state of mourning after news that Richard Taylor was pronounced dead at 9.45pm Saturday 9th May 2009.  Richard was involved in a motor cycle accident on Friday night and  suffered servere injuries to his head.

Not only was Richard a feared faster bowler, but was also a talented batsman when he put the effort in.  Richard loved and put much effort into the Milo In2Cricket program at the club and had committed to taking on a bigger role for the coming season, he will be missed by the kids and the club in this area.

The Taylor family have been involved with the club for more than 10 years, Richard has won 3 senior grand finals, most recently 2008/2009 in the 4ths, the 2006/2007 2nd XI and 2001/2002 3rd XI flag, he also won the bowling averages in the 2nd XI in 2006/2007.

Fiona Taylor was inducted as a life member at presentation night.  The Taylor (& Burns) family won best club person in 2004, 2005 & 2006 for their work with the club.
