Team of the Round

Rnd 2

Peter Dunlop:

The 1st XI skipper was back to his boring best chewing up the deliveries to help his side post a match winning score with an unflappable 47 off 120 rocks.

Dylan Wylde:

Opened in the 2’s alongside fellow bash brother O’Connor and the two blasted the team away to an imposing start with 54 runs in no time with Dyl clubbing his way to a handsome 65 off as many balls.

Jay Wagner:

The young superstar just keeps getting better making his debut senior century without raising a sweat in the 2nd XI’s fantastic win. Look out for Jay to score big with or without his trademark white helmet.

Matthew Bell:

A long awaited first run for the club almost as long a wait as his flight from the UK. Nice to see Matt amongst the runs after only bringing the English weather with him so far! No doubt the start of some big runs with a well compiled 39 in the 1st XI.

Jarrod Butcher:

A century timed to perfection bringing it up off the last ball in the 1st XI’s gutsy win. Put the foot down after the tea break bring up his century at almost a run a ball.

Adam Wylde:

The pint sized genius was at it again. Another solid contribution from mr consistency slapping around another 40 odd and will be looking to put his big boy pants on to reach that big big score he is so capable of producing.

Josh Gregory:

Superstar batsman and fielding turn his hand the ball this game for the first time in a long time. A quite unbelievable spell of bowling from Boof as he ripped the 2nd XI’s game to shreds claiming 6/20 off 14 breathtaking overs.

Daine Vernon:

Grizzly Adams tolled the arm over again and again in his 29 over contribution which included some horrendous bowling and some quite breathtaking control at times to limit the scoring at one end while claiming 4 important wickets.

Travis Mulder:

The ole Fox just does what he does which is dominating the game at any level. The newly appointed 4th XI skipper toyed with the opposition clubbing a match winning 53 not out and we may as well pencil him in to feature in this team all season!

Adam Wild:

Broke the game wide open in the 1st XI with the team in desperate need of wickets! Took a match winning 4/57 including a dropped caught and bowled onto the stumps to find the batsman short! More of the same from the veteran fast bowler.

Andrew Gregor:

Put his body back together just in time for the new season and must have made some significant upgrades as he destroyed the opposition in the 4th XI with menacing pace and short pitch bowling claiming 4/35!! That’s right 4/35 well done Gregor!
